• An electric power sub-station with a view to minimise power failures was constructed in the complex by DESU.
• The Society has endeavoured to make “Azad Apartments” a self-sufficient colony in all respects where in all the facilities of a modern society of diversity are available.
• Our complex is cosmopolitan in all respects as its members belong to various States of India and also are of different religions, faiths and are engaged in different professions and vocations. The members of the society live like a large family of 200 members and share the joys and sorrows of all the members.
• The Society installed comprehensive water harvesting system in the year 2005 in Azad Apartments complex which was appreciated by the Delhi Government.
• The Society installed Diesel Power Generation plant in the year 1990 which provides power to all the seven lifts, water booster pumps, lighting and one light and one fan connection to each house hold, as and when there is BSES Electric power failure /disruption.
• The Society has also recently installed CCTV Cameras in the entire complex and inside lifts to augment Security and Surveillance for its members and residents.
• The Society has three well developed parks and a well laid walking track in the complex who provides the much needed fresh air and a place to sit, chat, learn and share ones feelings in a co-operative living.
• A Senior Citizens Recreation Centre has been set up in the premises in the year 2013 for the benefit of our more than 100 senior members/residents of the complex by providing them a platform to participate in Computer literacy and Yoga classes, Birthday celebrations, Picnic, Health check-ups, Social and Religious functions so as to feel connected and enjoy laughter and happiness in each other’s company.
• Space for play area has also been provided and equipped with basketball and badminton courts, swings slides etc.
• The Society is well equipped with fire protection systems to face any fire hazard. There are seven elevators, one in each building installed by M/S OTIS Elevators Company (India) Limited.
